of boxes of k, real life enchanted princesses and just 21 in years
The supposedly OG outing yielded not so good an attendance, but we had fun anyway!
Dragged myself out of bed to meet huimin and bacca for some klunch. We were all as late as each other so it was all good. I even alighted at the wrong stop!
Oh, i filmed an incriminating video of us singing, dancing and being generally retarded to Rihanna's Umbrella ella ella eh eh eh. I was contemplating on uploading it on youtube but i really was the most retarded of them all, so maybe another time then!
Then it was off to get our selves enchanted! Harrison, evon and justin joined us and we trooped into the cinema. Huimin kept kping saying "我是不看这重戏的 lor"...
...i was sitting beside her and she laughed damn loud everytime there was something to laugh about.
Anyway, no pictures for this segment so i shall put up some clips of the movie. The clips are of them singing. If you've not caught the show, please do! Ignore the next 3 boxes then.
This show is so much more worth watching than a certain golden direction pointer thing.
The lead actress, Amy Adams, is apparently quite old. Actually, i could make out eyebags under the foundation. I bet they positively caked it on her.
After the movie, harri and huimin left and the remaining 4 of us nuahed around (i bought socks!), had dinner at Sakura (Far East one, not the one at Safra) and went over to Paragon to find ubin-cycling-gang, clara, tor yuan and ambrose for dessert.
Let the mini celebration for justin start!
Went to Bakerzin and bacca and evon secretly ordered a slice of cheesecake with a candle while justin and i were in the queue. We had to wait really long for a seven seater but in the end we took a 4 seater and added seats.
Played around with macro and landscape mode with my more-than-willing models.
The service was really quite terrible. They didn't lay the cutleries when the slice came, only providing one fork among the 7 of us. Not like we didn't order anything else.
That and other things made me quite unhappy and i put on my indignant face and went to the counter, asking icily, "Excuse me, can we have some cutlertries please?"
I walked back and realisation hit me. I said CUTLERTRIES. What the heck is cutlertries?!?! I'm like asking for toiletries!
Well, they came anyway, but i had to distribute them myself cos the waiter just plonked a pile of serviettes and forks in front of me. Freak shit la. Live and let live.
After clara bit the strawberry into half, she told justin that he had to do a forfeit because it was his birthday. She then proceeded to mix all the melted ice creams into a glass and plonked the half-strawberry into it. I have no idea how she can bite till it looks so gross. Got tendrils somemore.
After dessert we went out of Paragon and literally sat at the steps.
But we whored. Camwhored.
Ah, it was a fun night.

clar(a)ty cafe

A mini-og outing to celebrate Jerome's birthday became a glutton's feast, with humongous sides at Miss Clarity Cafe and an overdose of desserts at some bugis shop.
Clara kept saying that we were eating at her cafe, thus the title.
Jerome couldn't finish his almond paste and we tried to make abstract art with the sesame and peanut paste.
We even had to force down the delicious apple strudel birthday cake for Jerome.

Since being retrenched from the SAF, i've found myself to be quite horribly busy with god knows what, and thus i felt that i wasn't updating this space as religiously as i would have liked.
This entry's gonna make up for that, but it's gonna be minimal commentary and an overloading of pictures.

The day that i collected my pink IC was the same day that the Sec 1 camp at Greenridge Sec, which i was a facilitator in, started.

It lasted for 3 days and all of us were super shagged after that from constantly talking at the top of our voices to make the kids listen.
I remembered we brought the kids to Fort Canning and the camp organiser cautioned us not to shout at the children because there were outside people around. In the end i got allocated the very last Normal Tech class and i had to scream at them to play games.
"Do you all want to play games? You've been complaining that the camp's boring because there're no games and now i'm asking you all to play, you all refuse to co-operate. Do you want this camp to be just talking and NO GAMES? I give you all 10 seconds to form a circle in front of me now! 10... 9... 8... 7... 6... 5... 4... 3... 2... 1..."
And formed they did. Haha!
Even thou we were all complaining about how rowdy and misbehaved the kids were, at the end of the day, it was sad to leave. But oh well, they wouldn't have remembered me anyway.
Because of this camp, i missed out on my BMT platoon gathering.
From the photos, it seemed like a load of fun. Without me. Wanted to photoshop myself in the pic but was too lazy. Haha!

Had an early celebration for Daren because Amir had to fly off to Europe and thus couldn't attend his actual birthday celebration. The theme of the day was "Stripes"!
Went to TCC before heading down to Menotti's for their delicious mini cakes. The cakes go for half price after 10pm, so it wasn't ex at all.

Went for a dye job because i received a birthday discount from Singtel.
My hair's a blue-black base with ash streaks. But now if you see me the streaks are damn gold cos the dye's faded. But it's nicer like that.
My stylist's called Jackeline, so if any of you are mightily jealous of my hair, you can go find her at the Supercuts at Far East. She's off on Mondays thou. Just tell her that i referred her to you, cos she knows me.

Got free Rivermaya concert tickets from youth.sg and dragged Tee Seng along for it. I reckon he's got the "free" face. Remember i got free tickets to The Swimming Instructor? He went with me too.
Since Rivermaya's a Philippines band, there were groups of maid-looking women screaming their undying devotion. It was hilarious cos TS kept imitating the Tagalog accent and saying stuff like, "Madarm call arsk me where i at bart i doon dare answer because she dunch know i carm Ribermaya concert."
I can't do it as well as he can. Hilarity i tell you!
Anyhow, the concert rocked! They sang in English by the way, although there were some Tagalog songs thrown in, making the maids wild and giddy with excitement.
And yes, those were blown up condoms.

Celebrated the birthday of the most chachafied person in my world, KOH TEE SENG, where he treated us to Sushi Tei. After that we went to Settler's Cafe where we surprised him in the middle of our gaming with a cake and his retardedly cute presents!
It wasn't easy to plan the surprise because we all were working and had no time to meet up, so Daren and i were scheming over web messenger at work and sending unreciprocated emails to Amir and Roger about the elaborate plan.
We very nearly made him cry when we called him at midnight and sang happy birthday to him over loudspeaker, while we were on the cab home. Dang. Should have emo-ed more.

I've been lagging behind on my American Idol fixes so much for the past few weeks that i stayed home yesterday all day to clear the backlog.
It's so sad that Melinda's out cos it just shows that the best might not necessarily win it.
Made me think of the youth.sg blogging competition where i got the best judges score but then again it's really up to the public voting.So vote for B7 if you want justice to be served! (as if you've never heard it before)

My mother needs my help to go carry the groceries for tomorrow's BBQ. It's for me and my brother's joint celebration with my relatives and my brother's friends.
My brother's birthday's 4 days after mine and I bought him a Creative mp3 player.

framed criminals

I've got all the pics but i've yet to sort them out.
There's a crisis now. Half the pictures were from my cam and the other half were from KW's cam. The thing is, KW's cam had the date imprinted on the photos!
The mugshots are kinda ruined by the date imprint. And i can't remove it with photoshop because the date's over vital parts like the hands or shirts! Hard to clone it away.

my chinese is terrible enough...
... and yet i have to handle old parents who can only speak chinese, but understands terms like "logistic" and "fax".
That's not the worse thing.
I have to handle the ching chong students from freaking CHINA!
so apt this picture since my company is from Taiwan.
I must make it clear that i'm in no way prejudiced against China people, it's just that my Chinese capabilities are seriously limited. If you know me, you'll know.
The very first time i encountered a China student, i had so much trouble just translating the sentence, "You have to go to the website and follow the instructions".
In the end, i told her, "Ni yao qu wang lu na bian geng zhe instructions."
She replied with a, "Er... Wo bu zhi dao ni zhai shuo shen me", in that cheena China slang.
URGH!
I also want to tell her that i cannot understand her!
Eh, don't get me wrong, i'm not ashamed of my Chinese heritage. It's been a month since i ORDed and until now, i was adamnant on leaving my hair black and undyed, as a weak attempt against conformity.
That's until now.
I'm having mixed feelings about this Supercuts voucher that i've received via Singtel for my birthday.
It has a 40% off on ALL CHEMICAL SERVICES, which basically only means dye hair to me la. Why would i wanna rebond or perm?
So should i rejoice and go ahead to utilise the voucher (i really want blonde streaks, brown is so bleurgh), or grit my teeth and stand firm to my resolution of not treating my hair as a canvas and not conform to the image of an FASS student?
Speaking of that, i've still not brought up the determination (and courage) to pierce my ears. I need someone to drag me there!

here to add some colour
My blog's fast becoming all words and no pictures due to the fact that i usually blog at the office.
And i predict that all my entries from the office will be filled with the rantings of a disgruntled customer service officer.
So it's time i post up some pictures!
I have to tell you the story of how 8 guys ended up doing something that's so stereotypically girly.
I'm talking about the taking of neoprints of cos!
I'm getting a sugar rush just looking at those super act cute poses of ours.
This is how it happened.
We met in the morning of the 25th for klunch at the kbox at level 8 of cine. Don't mind me digressing abit cos the place sucks, so please refrain from going there. The mics were totally faulty, the pitch of the songs couldn't be changed and the food took ages to arrive.
So as i was saying, we actually met up to celebrate Xinhe and Philip's birthday! Boon Kian was the organiser and he actually bought a cake from kbox itself! In fact, the cake was really nice!
So after k-ing, we were walking around aimlessly when suddenly someone (not me!) suggested taking neoprint. By then we had reached the horrifyingly pink neoprint shop at L2 of cine.
We were 8 guys standing outside the shop. Half didn't mind, half were reluctant (guess which half was i in), but in the end, we managed to persuade everyone to do it!
We walked into the shop and another dilemma hit us. Which machine to use?
So we became 8 guys standing inside the shop.
This group of secondary school girls came in and to our chagrin, we overheard one of them say, "Eee, wei shen mo zhe jian dian zhe mo duo nan ren de?"
When i heard it, i wanted to retort, "Eee, wei shen mo zhe jian dian zhe mo duo nu ren de?"
But i didn't obviously. We all pretended not to hear it.
In the end, we choose a machine and had tonnes of fun rushing into our poses. In fact, there were examples of how to pose for each shot, and some of us (esp me) tried to copy them.
We were freaking KAO PEI-ing with 8 guys inside the booth. Can you imagine the din we made? Like taxi drivers arguing.
When we got out, THE WHOLE SHOP was staring at us!
Oh. My. God.
Anyway, the machine that we chose was quite cool, you could actually send the neoprints to your phone via infrared!
So someone got all 5 of the neoprints into his phone and bluetoothed everyone.
Damn cool can!
I suspect neoprint machines are designed specially to make people look so much nicer than they really look.
I mean, look at me, i where got so cute in real life?

This year ain't the year of the pig...
It's the year of the birthday parties!!!
Especially for the 1986 batch, because EVERYONE'S TURNING 21!
Like duh.
At first, i didn't want to have a celebration for myself. I intended to just let my birthday slip by like the previous years, with only some friends asking me out.
But after being invited to so many parties, i gian already la!
With great parties come great responsibility.
I'm frazzled enough as it is, but i still have to manage the guestlist, cater food, order cake, buy extra sides.
All of which i've not done.
I've done one thing thou.
I've created an improbable wishlist for fear of people buying me stuffed toys. Although some of the items there are like impossibles, a boy can dream.
Ok, without further ado, it's 不要脸 (thick skinned) time.





I doubt the Abercrombie polos can be found in Singapore (i don't want cheong ones!), you can try buying them online thou! Oh, i'll accept Ralph Lauren polos too! NO GIORDANO OR NO FOOD FOR YOU!
If you wanna get Topman tees or shirts, i wear M hor. I know i'm fat, dun need to make me look fatter by buying me baggy clothes. And try to abstain from white/light colours cos it's fattening!
What's most important is to surprise me! But after this entry, i think it's hard for me to get surprised.
Aiyah, if i think of anything else i'll edit this entry and repost it! Kinda braindead from all that photoshopping.

windows live messenger
Met with ZC, gabs and yushan. It felt like a weird combi because i was crashing in on their "family" outing.
We walked around alot looking for a present for yushan, ate alot of carbo and spent alot of money.
The crux of the outing was whether to go watch a movie or to go sing Kbox. Finally, it was decided by the decisive zc that we should watch a horror movie.
And since it's his actual birthday today, we had no choice but to accept our fate.
What can i say about the show?
Oh how about, yushan fell asleep, and so did zc himself?
The show, directed by the Pang brothers, was a typical Asian horror flick with Hollywoodism injected into it.
It's actually quite hard for me to remember the details now. That's how unmemorable the show was. Apparently it's about how children can see things that adults cannot.
The only part that vaguely made an impression on me was when the mother realised that the little boy was staring at some empty corner, and she asked him what was there.
The little boy merely pointed at the empty corner.
Then the mother realised that the little boy could see things that she couldn't and tried to ask him where they were.
The little boy continued to point at the same spot.
The mother then asked, "What do they look like?"
The little boy brought his hands up to his eyes...
And made a face.
That was damn freaky. Other than that, the show was rather predictable and lame.
I was joking that i didn't understand why the movie was titled "The Messengers".
Liddat nearly every horror movie can be called that. Nearly all ghosts come back to haunt the place because they have some sort of message they need to tell some unsuspecting girl who will then either find the remains of the ghost/find out how they really died/find the person who killed them.
So cliche.
I mean, if the show was about maybe msn or something then the title would be self explanatory.
Girl staring at the computer screen: "OMG, why's HE appearing online? He's supposed to be DEAD!"

louhei pt3
This entry exists partially because i don't want viewers to judge me based on the maths entry, so with this entry, it's one step closer to disappearing from the main page altogether!
In my defence, i haven't been touching maths for 4 years. But it's not a good defence.
Anyways, had dinner at the grassroots club restaurant yesterday, because it was also the 7th day of CNY, which is 人日(ren2 re4), which represents everyone's birthday on the lunar calender.
I had yu sheng the 2nd time with my relatives, but it was my 3rd time having it.
And this is how my family does it. It's an utter mess, and that's the way we like it.
I had to use my wet tissues even before i ate anything because someone kept flinging the yu sheng on my hands, making it damn oily and sweet.
At the same time, we celebrated my youngest brother's birthday.
It was 人日 and when they brought out the cake, the restaurant had the birthday song playing on it's PA system and the everyone in the restaurant clapped and sang along.
My goodness i wouldn't wanna be in my brother's seat. I would have melted in embarrassment.
I haven't bought him anything yet since his actual birthdate's on 2nd March. Or was it the 3rd. Any suggestions?
I like this photo. But the more i look at it, the more it seems like some spectacle shop advert with the slogan, "Spectacles for all ages!"

birthdaies
Over the weekend, a few friends celebrated their 21st birthday.
Soo Chin had hers at this RC in Ang Moh Kio on Friday.
At first, i thought it was such a weird place to have a birthday party, but it turned out to be a pretty successful one, with karaoke singing, lucky draws and of cos, tears from the birthday girl and close friends.
I also found out that two of my other friends had birthdays on the 13th.
Hui Shan and Jean, both of you tong nian tong yue tong re sheng! Let's go kbox together soon! The free karaoke at sc's party really making me crave for it again!
So far, i've not gotten to know anyone who share the same birthday as me.
Anyway, i've joined Victoria Chorale! Hurrah! I miss choral singing, and all those kboxing hasn't been helping much. I actually couldn't go up during the warm ups.
I went for the first practice at Siglap South CC on Saturday and boy was it weird to step into a totally new choir. Luckily for me i had jw and alvin for company, but they're in bass and i was in tenor!
Speaking of which, the choir is grossly unproportioned. There's two times more guys than girls! And the guys are usually louder, especially the tenors.
But who cares cos i got to sing Janger!
After choir, jw ran off and alvin had to go off too, so i was left alone. Luckily i found friends to have dinner and chill with.
Met up with Wee Keong and Kenny for dinner at the very budget Pastamania before heading to TCC for drinks and a chat.
Look what Kenny did with my phone.
I've found someone more narcissistic and more of a camwhore than me!
How rare is that?
