what's your sex?

I asked my brothers and parents to fill up a survey form for my EL project.

Apparently my brother's a "boy"!

"When will you be home?" she asks
as we watch the planes take off
We both know we have no clear answer to where my dreams may lead
She's watched me as i crawled and stumbled
As a child, she was my world
And now to let me go, I know she bleeds
and yet she says to me

You can fly so high
Keep your gaze upon the sky
I'll be prayin every step along the way
Even though it breaks my heart to know we'll be so far apart
I love you too much to make you stay
Baby fly away

Autumn leaves fell into spring time and
SIlver-painted hair
Daddy called one evening saying
"We need you. Please come back"
When I saw her laying in her bed
Fragile as a child
Pale just like an angel taking flight
I held her as I cried

You can fly so high
Keep your gaze upon the sky
I'll be prayin every step along the way
Even though it breaks my heart to know we'll be so far apart
I love you too much to make you stay
Baby fly away
I love you too much to make you stay
Baby fly away

Cool huh!

I used a program called Mozodojo which is only available on the mac. Too bad window users!

Edith! I remember owing you something like this! But it was too tough doing it manually through photoshop. Do you still want it?

clar(a)ty cafe

A mini-og outing to celebrate Jerome's birthday became a glutton's feast, with humongous sides at Miss Clarity Cafe and an overdose of desserts at some bugis shop.

Clara kept saying that we were eating at her cafe, thus the title.

Jerome couldn't finish his almond paste and we tried to make abstract art with the sesame and peanut paste.

We even had to force down the delicious apple strudel birthday cake for Jerome.

Super sinning day man.

library rush

I decided to be conscientious today so i woke up early to go the library, hoping to find a seat for me and my friends.

The library opens at 10am, so i took my time as i woke up an hour earlier.

I took a leisurely walk to the library and i arrived there 5 mins before time.

I was thinking happily to myself, "Hope i can find a nice spot for my friends and i", when i saw THIS!

I was stunned!

At 10am, when the shutters started rolling up slowly, a few people started climbing under them to get to the escalators!

This is so reminiscent of scenes in zombie movies where the zombies keep trying to get to the remaining survivors, who are trapped in the toilet or something.

I was googling for pictures of zombies and i found this.

Didn't know Marvel had zombified versions of the superheroes. Cyclops is so cute holding his severed head and still shooting out laser from his eyes.

Haha ok so random.

Random Photobooth Shots

Just trying out this cool site that i've been introduced to. And they're right, photoslides ARE a bore!

The site's called Animoto, and they transform pictures into a sweet MTV-like video. Sign up here by Sunday and you'll be able to create one free full-length video. Otherwise, you can just sign up and create free shorts of 30 secs, like the one i just did!

It's supercool!

p.s. i'm not doing an advertorial btw, i just love you guys! aren't i sweet?

p.p.s. it's over folks. =)

i can't take it no more

The toothpicks that were propping my eyes open for the past few days have finally snapped. I can no longer keep my eyes open.

The resolution to do work before sleep has crumbled. I'm gonna lie down and say goodbye to the waking world.

I hope i wake up tomorrow.

I'm just oh so very tired.

Don't worry about me, i'm not suicidal or anything, just exhausted.

I'd like to share with you a cute postcard i saw at borders.

Too bad i don't drink coffee.

cockroach infestation!

For the past 2 weeks, i've been killing cockroaches at the rate of 1 or 2 per night.

At first, the cockroaches were mostly in the communal toilet and i didn't give much of a damn. But when they started becoming bigger and started to appear elsewhere, like on the walls outside the toilet or on the dining table, i sounded the alarm to my mum.

She concluded with her spider-senses that the dining table itself might be harbouring the tiny monstrosities. You see, the table has an extendable portion that can be pulled out when there isn't enough space on the table, and my mum thought the critters could be camping in there.

True enough, they were!

My dad, armed with insecticide, bravely crawled under the table to assault the enemy from behind while my brother pulled out the extension.

A million cockroaches fell to their deaths with a spurt of the insecticide!

But that's not the entire army! Apparently, more were lurking in the dark corners of the kitchen!

Thus, the day became a massive insect-hunt.

Everything that could be removed was removed and everywhere that could be doused in insecticide was shimmery and wet.

A few hours later, i went into the kitchen and to my horror, a sea of dead corpses, with their six feet in the air, greeted me.

A few of them actually managed to escape being gassed, but not for long!

They wouldn't know what hit them. Maybe it's cockroach heaven to die in tissue paper.

Clouds are soft, white and fluffy too.

entwined in a single voice

I know this is quite grossly overdue, but after much practices and rehearsals, Victoria Chorale's annual performance, In Song, is finally over!

As a "freshie" of VC (i only joined after i ORDed), i was very lucky to be able to take part in this year's concert as it was VC's 20th anniversary, and the concert's repertoire was made up of the 20 most memorable songs in VC's history!

Although the concert was marred by some idiots who clapped halfway through a song, the end result was spectacular! Songs such as "Janger", "Lux" and "Sleep" really made my goosebumps rise, even just by listening to the mp3 of them.

It was a good run indeed. Keep it up VC!

I don't want you to think of me as an eavesdropper so I'll just say that I'm listening to music instead of my neighbour's maid flirting with my other neighbour's driver.

I like it when people think of me as an intellectual so I will list a bunch of intellectual-sounding books here, even those I don't plan to read.

Since I can't list my porn collection here, I'll just leave it this way until I can force myself to watch non-pornographic stuff, which may or may not happen.
