entwined in a single voice
I know this is quite grossly overdue, but after much practices and rehearsals, Victoria Chorale's annual performance, In Song, is finally over!
As a "freshie" of VC (i only joined after i ORDed), i was very lucky to be able to take part in this year's concert as it was VC's 20th anniversary, and the concert's repertoire was made up of the 20 most memorable songs in VC's history!
Although the concert was marred by some idiots who clapped halfway through a song, the end result was spectacular! Songs such as "Janger", "Lux" and "Sleep" really made my goosebumps rise, even just by listening to the mp3 of them.
It was a good run indeed. Keep it up VC!

tomorrowed yesterday
My baby ghost entry was submitted to tomorrow.sg by Alvin and it got published!
I was quite shocked when one day my counter had 300 plus hits and the next it was 600 plus. Now it's close to 1k!
Quite shiok la... I should write more of such inane stuff so that it can get posted up!

sov 2007
This was the first year that i took part in SOV not as a member of the audience but as part of the performance.
Although not the main item, being part of the guest item was a nice feeling. It's been awhile, 3 years in fact, since my last time singing on stage with a choir.
I had friends smsing me during interval saying that they didn't know that i would be performing. At this i replied that i didn't know they were coming.
Although i wasn't from VJ, i could feel the emotions coming through when we were singing No Man is an Island. Although i was afraid that i would be terribly out of place, i was surprisingly holding my own beside the older more experienced members of Chorale.
And i actually had a crash course in the song during dinner before the performance.

birthdaies
Over the weekend, a few friends celebrated their 21st birthday.
Soo Chin had hers at this RC in Ang Moh Kio on Friday.
At first, i thought it was such a weird place to have a birthday party, but it turned out to be a pretty successful one, with karaoke singing, lucky draws and of cos, tears from the birthday girl and close friends.
I also found out that two of my other friends had birthdays on the 13th.
Hui Shan and Jean, both of you tong nian tong yue tong re sheng! Let's go kbox together soon! The free karaoke at sc's party really making me crave for it again!
So far, i've not gotten to know anyone who share the same birthday as me.
Anyway, i've joined Victoria Chorale! Hurrah! I miss choral singing, and all those kboxing hasn't been helping much. I actually couldn't go up during the warm ups.
I went for the first practice at Siglap South CC on Saturday and boy was it weird to step into a totally new choir. Luckily for me i had jw and alvin for company, but they're in bass and i was in tenor!
Speaking of which, the choir is grossly unproportioned. There's two times more guys than girls! And the guys are usually louder, especially the tenors.
But who cares cos i got to sing Janger!
After choir, jw ran off and alvin had to go off too, so i was left alone. Luckily i found friends to have dinner and chill with.
Met up with Wee Keong and Kenny for dinner at the very budget Pastamania before heading to TCC for drinks and a chat.

I've found someone more narcissistic and more of a camwhore than me!
How rare is that?
