ok she swallows, so what?

I know what you guys are thinking of. Because i was thinking the exact same thing when i saw this ad on the papers a few days ago.

Unless you have a poor command of English, or an all too innocent mind, the sexual innuendo would be in plain sight.

Some might say that it's crude and crass, while others might shake their head disapprovingly at the ad, but i say BRAVO!

If anything, the ad grabbed our attention from the news! It lept out of the otherwise monotonous pages to lay a slap on our faces!

So what if it brought on controversy? Bad publicity is still publicity. Do you think as many people would have heard of Imedeen if there wasn't such a big hoo-haa about the ad?

Our reigning Queen of Caldecott Hill, and also the spokesperson for Imedeen, Zoe Tay, should be proud that she was deemed daring and sexy enough to front this provocative ad, after all, she's married and is a mom now.

Singaporeans should lighten up and be more open to such forms of expression. A repressed society is a recipe for disaster.

Now the worst thing that can happen is that the ads get revamped into something totally boring.

Something like this.

i'm a pimp

Don't even think of getting your dirrrty paws on them if the alphabets B-I-L-L-G-A-T-E-S don't spell your name.

They're so expensive you can't even begin to imagine!

Pimp: Sir! Would you like to try my girls?

Customer: But my name is spelt B-I-N-D-A-S-A-M-I, and i'm just from a little town in Southern Java. Can i afford them?

Pimp: Of course NOT!

disclaimer: i'm only kidding people! please don't try to pick them up if you see them standing next to a lampost. haha!

smokin'

I ran out and got my hand on this hot baby!

Got it for $208 with a 2 years plan, minus $60 for an old Nokia trade-in.

It's so funny how many spare phones were lying around at home. I lost one, traded-in one, and there's still one more!

On a completely different note, i've finally revamped my gluttonism blog! The concept is quite similar to this site, but pure and simple can never go wrong.

Go check it out, and tag for pete's sake!

if the old doesn't get lost...

... the new wouldn't be bought.

I've lost my old, don't-even-have-infra-red, scratched, dropped-often and stepped-and-slided-on Nokia phone.

Dropped it on the bus on the way home in fact.

This is what you get when the phone ceases to be an important commodity in your everyday life. You don't notice that it's gone until it's too late.

Anyway, after much deliberation, i've decided to get a new phone!

It's Samsung's X820, the 6.9mm thick phone.

Haven't i mentioned that i love slim stuff?

No?

Ok, I LOVE SLIM STUFF!

Everything i use, from my nano to my wallet, tends to be slim and small.

I think i'm subconsciously conscious of my own size and want to balance it with the things around me.

What rubbish!

I hope my dad subsidises a portion of the cost. I haven't exactly told him that i'm planning to get a new phone yet.

-crosses fingers and toes-

Anyway, can all you sexy people out there start smsing me your names and numbers?

Pretty please?

something's wrong

Met up with new friend Shawnie for dinner.

Wanted to have sushi at Millenia Walk. Bad idea. The Sushi Tei at Millenia Walk is GONE! Gonna be replaced by some ramen place.

Walked back all the way to Raffles City to be told to WAIT!

Ended up at this Jap restaurant called Amanogawa at the basement. The food was ABSOLUTELY so-so and WONDERFULLY unfilling.

Shawnie saw something wrong with the bill.

Well, there isn't something wrong with it per se, just surprised that something's missing from it. Can you see what?

Anyway, walked around abit and i got ditched for a game. It's Mabs to the rescue!

Lost track of the time while chilling out and she got locked out of the convention centre where she left all her stuff.

So funny seeing her so kan cheong and running about with the phone plastered to her face and screaming for help.

But everything sorted itself out in the end.

why do i look so orange? i swear it's a natural tan!

look what i dug out

Photos of Mabs dying our hair 2 years ago!

I remember my hair colour turned out nicer than KW's one and he koped the remainder of my dye after i was done to colour his hair again.

My, it's been only 2 years and how we've grown. Mabs didn't have much change, maybe just lost her baby fat. KW and me had the most drastic changes.

We literally looked like Michelin then. Especially me, so white and as big as a beached whale.

Thank god for photoshop!

great fun, food and friends

What more could i ask for?

Met up with 2/3 of my best friends for a night of piggery at Serangoon Gardens.

We didn't take any nice group shots so i tried to manually stitch 2 photos together, so half of KW is actually me!

Walked in circles supposedly looking for a place to eat but was actually talking and catching up.

We ended up eating at Chomp Chomp and ordering a whole lotta food. Nothing to rave about, just normal hawker fare here.

Went to this place called Ice3 for dessert after. Very delicious mudpie and a so-so bailey chocolate fondue. This place is definitely making an appearance in gluttonism very soon!

Took trillions of photos because i loved my hair (just got it cut) and made a hell lotta noise as we always do.

I <3 my friends!

love's beautiful

I love her voice and this song la. In my book, Stef and her are my faves and it has totally nothing to do with them being Singaporeans.

Enjoy,

"strange" seafood market

Nothing to do in the car and this is what happens.

I don't know if i'm the one learning from them or they're learning from me.

Anyway, my dad brought the family out for dinner at 奇怪海鲜市场.

奇怪 means strange i thought, so the whole time me and my aunt were like calling it the "strange" seafood market. It wasn't until we actually saw the signboard that we realised it was actually supposed to be unique seafood market.

Isn't unique 特别 or 特殊? Whatever, Chinese is totally foreign to me.

When we got there, there was a minor confusion. Seems the Unique Seafood Market is really just a market, as you can see, and not actually a restaurant, as my dad originally thought. DOH!

You purchase the seafood from the market and there's a couple of restaurants beside it that cooks it for you like on the spot.

We had chilli crab, lobster salad, and this shellfish thing with something like an elephant's trunk sticking out of it. It looked more like a penis than an elephant's trunk actually. I mentioned it to my mum and she was so tickled.

But damn it tasted so yummy!

No pictures of the food cos my camera decided to die on me la. I forgot to charge it since the last time i used it.

I think there's something in the food cos i'm feeling damn strange now. And it's not me, there's other people telling me the same thing, that i'm being very weird today.

Oh well.

cheers,
juni

outside my window

I was surfing around aimlessly, clicking on whatever that caught my fancy, when i stumbled onto a how-to video on photoshopping.

Intrigued, i watched the video and started nosing around the site abit.

15 mins later and i was keying in my email to suscribe to their newsletter.

Half an hour later and i was trying out one of their photoshopping tutorials.

An hour later and this was the result.

the view from my window

This is called a panography, which according to the site are wide-angle pictures composed of several individual photos manually stitched together.

As compared the to stunning panographies shown in the site, mine's like crap, but that's because i used a mere 10 shots instead of the hundreds that were used on the site.

I'd definitely be trying it out on a prettier environment soon, but till then, knock yourselves out with the panography tutorial, and other amazing stuff on the site.

Panographies
All the amazing things you can do with a camera and photoshop.

cheers,
juni

of balls and curry

Fat man Xu had to go down to Clementi to collect the $10 computer fan he flown in from Germany and ZM and i accompanied him there out of the kindness of our hearts (and the promise of free curry).

30 mins after the stipulated meeting time and some narcissist shots later, we met ZM and went to slack over a few rounds of pool.

Remember when i said that i had to come with a warning label? I think i have to get duplicates for these guys because they're catching my virus!

But the difference is that instead of taking photos of themselves, i've become their prop/model/whore! And what a willing party i was. A little too willing i think.

After poking some balls, we got hungry.

But cannot eat too much, if not later become like this woman.

I think i've collected enough bad karma to last me quite awhile. Need to pray already.

Went down to Sim Lim and walked and walked. Note to self: never buy cheonged earphones ever again. What a waste of money. Pui~

ps: i've updated my gluttonism blog like finally!

pps: go do the poll!

cheers,
juni

Listening

I don't want you to think of me as an eavesdropper so I'll just say that I'm listening to music instead of my neighbour's maid flirting with my other neighbour's driver.

Reading

I like it when people think of me as an intellectual so I will list a bunch of intellectual-sounding books here, even those I don't plan to read.

Viewing

Since I can't list my porn collection here, I'll just leave it this way until I can force myself to watch non-pornographic stuff, which may or may not happen.
